Armed robber steals laptop in Berkeley

An armed robber stole a laptop computer at about 8:30 p.m. Friday night, just steps from the UC Berkeley campus, police said. According to an alert sent out Saturday afternoon by the University of California Police Department, the robbery occurred at 2728 Durant Ave. The suspect is a black male in his 30s, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with the logo "Sean John" and black pants.
