Two men have been wounded in shootings on the Near North and West sides since Sunday morning, according to Chicago police. In the most recent shooting, a 31-year-old man was shot in the 400 block of West Chicago Avenue about 12:20 p.m. and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was in good condition.

A Streamwood man is facing a felony murder charge after police said he carjacked a taxi and crashed it into two other vehicles, causing the death of a 69-year-old woman on the Near North Side on Tuesday. Michael Jorgensen, 29, of the 1200 block of Tuscany Drive in Streamwood, is also charged with vehicular hijacking, aggravated DUI causing death and two misdemeanor traffic violations in connection with the crash.
