Board of Elections Office to Relocate to 340A Montevue Lane

FREDERICK, MD The Frederick County Board of Elections will relocate its offices to 340A Montevue Lane, Frederick, as of Monday, Dec. 18. The current office across the street at the Bourne Building will be closed to the public from Wednesday, Dec. 13, through Friday, Dec. 15. The new location provides more space for the agency that conducts county, state and federal elections for Frederick County's 169,000 registered voters. In addition to conducting elections, the Board of Elections is responsible for registering voters, processing candidates' filings, and maintaining registration records.

The layoffs at the Corporate Drive offices of First Guaranty Mortgage Corp. would affect 82 employees, according to a posting on the state Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation's Work Adjustment and Retraining Notifications website.
