7 Hospitalized After Erwin Highway Crash

Seven people suffered possible injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 11:45 a.m. Thursday in the 7700 block of Erwin Highway. The broadside collision between a 2013 Toyota 4Runner and a 2008 Cadillac tied up traffic in the area of the wreck about one hour as first responders worked to free passengers in the Cadillac.

East Tennessee State University has updated its ETSU Response website to provide information on how to support those affected by the mass shooting in Las Vegas, a news release says. The website, www.etsu.edu/response , recently activated to give the university and surrounding community ways to support those affected by hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria and earthquakes in Mexico, now provides a link to the Las Vegas Victims' Fund, a GoFundMe page established by Las Vegas officials to raise money to "provide relief and financial support to the victims and families" of the shooting, the release says.

Home Improvement Fraud Alleged Against Chuckey Man

A Chuckey man who allegedly was paid for building a home patio but never did the work was charged Tuesday by Johnson City police with fraud by a home improvement services provider. A Johnson City police report said that Cutshaw agreed on March 24 to construct a patio at a house on Vicksburg Road, "but never performed the work for which he was paid," a report said.
