A Richmond man was arrested Thursday evening in the unincorporated Contra Costa County community of North Richmond because he is a suspect in a robbery that occurred in San Pablo, police said. Giovanni Mendoza, 21, was arrested shortly after 6:05 p.m. when San Pablo police served a search warrant at a home in the 1800 block of Seventh Street.

Thanks to social media, police were able arrest a suspect wanted in connection with four robberies in both San Pablo and Richmond, police said Friday. Giovanni Mendoza, 21, of Richmond, was arrested Thursday at 6:05 p.m. after serving a search warrant on the 1800 block of Seventh Street in North Richmond, police said.
