Shepherd's Gate welcomes new CEO

Livermore-based Christian nonprofit Shepherd's Gate announced this week that Carol Patterson has been hired as its new chief executive officer. Man Fatally Shot By Police Identified As 27-Year-Old Sj Resident

An armed man who was shot by San Jose police at the Metcalf Energy Center last week was identified by the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office as 27-year-old San Jose resident Thompson Nguyen. Nguyen was killed in the officer-involved shooting on Jan. 9 after he allegedly charged at officers with weapons after receiving no less than 23 commands to stand down.
