Sheriff's deputies arrested a 42-year-old woman and two juveniles for armed robbery about 4 a.m. Wednesday in east Stockton. According to the Sheriff's Office, Flavia Ambriz was in the 1800 block of N. Broadway Ave. and waved down her victim, claiming she had car trouble.

Second student arrested at Stockton school for threats

A 16-year-old student was arrested in Stockton Thursday on charges of making terrorist threats, less than two weeks after Stockton police said they arrived at Venture Academy, in the 2800 block of Transworld Drive, at 7 p.m. after school staff alerted authorities to the student. School staff told police they received an anonymous email which said one of their students wanted to shoot up the school.

Five-alarm blaze damages east Stockton church

STOCKTON - A difficult early morning fire in an east Stockton church caused extensive damage to the sanctuary, a storage room and other parts of the large building before firefighters were able to bring it under control.
